How Muse evolves.
Decisions are recorded as they are made. The purpose is not to justify them retrospectively, but to preserve the reasoning that shaped the project.
Every decision is recorded the same way.
- Decision
What was decided.
- Context
The problem or question that triggered it.
- Options considered
What alternatives existed.
- Reasoning
Why this direction was selected.
- Trade-offs
What the decision makes easier, and what it makes harder.
- Status
Current, reconsidered, superseded or open.
- Date
When the decision was made.
Currently establishing the record.
The documented Muse material so far establishes the overall direction toward an AI-powered wardrobe and personal-style system, but a full chronological decision record has not yet been written down.
New decisions are added here rather than buried in development notes. The first entries will most likely come from the technical direction currently being explored — recognition approach, the garment data model, and the scope of the first genuinely useful product experience.
Choices the project is approaching.
These are not yet decisions. They are the questions closest to becoming one.
Exact identification or visual similarity?
OpenWhether Muse needs to identify the specific commercial product, or whether visual similarity is sufficient — and more robust — for wardrobe purposes.
How much structure a garment needs
OpenThe minimum data model that makes a garment useful inside a wardrobe, and which attributes are generated versus user-defined.
The first useful experience
OpenWhich single capability delivers enough value on its own to justify the effort of digitizing a wardrobe.
Division between automation and control
OpenHow much Muse should decide automatically, and where the user must be able to see and correct what it understood.
